One Night

I’m 21. One-night stands are supposed to be normal at this age right? Or at least that’s what I thought, until my first and only one-night stand ended up being the night I got knocked up by a stranger I had never laid eyes on before. He was sexy in the way that attracted every female within 100 yards of him, with a smooth voice, and a smirk that could knock me to my knees.

I wasn’t on birth control. Now I’ve peed on two sticks, those two little lines have changed my future forever. You want to know what the worst part is? I have no idea what the name of the father is.

I’m a bachelor, and man do I love it. I never sleep with the same woman twice, I like variety. But when she walks into my bar, she captivates my attention. My overconfident attitude gets her to agree to leave with me, and that’s all I want. Just one night.

Then I run into her in my sister’s office, the last place I expected to see her. Except this time, she has something to tell me. Something that will change my world forever. Our one night together, turned out to be so much more.

“I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read. I read it in one sitting and ended up having some emotional tears too. For a short book, I really got a feel for the characters and loved the way the story came together.” – A Book Lover’s Emporium Book Blog

“Oh my swoon. I was so captivated from the start with Kyle just like Tessa was. I completely understood her motives in doing something she never had before. This was a quick read in a genre that yes, I’ve read many books like it, but this one still hit all the right notes for me.” – R.K. Emery

“A quick steamy read with a guaranteed happy ending. Tessa and Kyle meet at his bar, and they agree to one night only with no names. When six weeks later she is pregnant, and now has to find the mystery man from the bar. With some drama, J. Akridge has written an awesome book with a great plot.” – Book Obsessed.
